The digital version of the Atlas has been available in English since 2017, and has replaced a paper publication that first saw the light of day at the end of the 19th century. The web portal where the Atlas is located contains hundreds of images of clouds and other phenomena -like rainbows, halos, snow swirls or hail- sent by meteorologists, photographers and cloud lovers from all over the world.

"WMO is pleased to present the Atlas in all the official languages of the United Nations. Many millions of cloud watchers can now access the contents of the publication, even from their homes during the confinement imposed by the current VIDEO-19 pandemic.
